 Balochistan: Pakistani military attacks continues uninterrupted, four killed several abducted

QUETTA: Pakistani security forces have conducted simultaneous offensives in different areas of Balochistan in past few days. Four people including a student leader were killed and several have been abducted during these offensives.

According to details the latest waves of military attacks were carried out in Sengsila and its surrounding area of district Dera Bugti Balochistan.

BRP sources reported that several houses were ‘burned to ashes’ and the inhabitants were looted off their precious house-holds and other belongings.

The Pakistani forces have harassed and terrorized women and children during the operation and abducted at least five Baloch.

The victims have been identified as Karam Khan Bugti, Gwahram Bugti, Shah Ali Bugti, Sher Dil Bugti and his son.

Meanwhile in Fazul Chyl area of Kohlu the Pakistani forces abducted three men. The names of the abducted men could not be confirmed immediately.

In a separate but similar offensive the Pakistani forces backed with gunship helicopters attacked several villages in Kolwaah region of district Awaran Balochistan on Wednesday morning.

Pakistani ground forces and gunship helicopters ponded the region entire day till the dust of evening. Due to continuous air strikes and ground offensives a senior member of BSO-Azad Hasil aka Qazi was killed along with two other of his companions namely Allah Bakhsh and Anwar Baloch.

Canada based leader of BSO-Azad Karima Baloch tweeted, “Hasil’s elder brother was abducted and tortured to death by Pakistan Army in 2014. They killed Hasil now.”

She also wrote on twitter, “Hasil’s father and a brother are already in Army’s custody. No man left in entire family. #Balochistan.”

Prior to Hasil and his companion’s murder the Pakistani forces had abducted, Shabir Baloch aka Lakhmeer, central spokesperson of BSO-Azad from Gwarkop region of Turbat Balochistan.

Pakistani forces also abducted another nine men from Gwarkop Pidark during a day-long military attack and house-to-house search.

Local sources named the victims of enforced-disappearance as 26 years old student Kahoor Babul, a 38 years old farmer Umetan Faqir and a 46 years old fish seller Yousuf Baiyan. While other include Naim Ali Mohammad, Adil Naeem, Kambar Sakhi dad, Wahid Bakhsh Arz Mohammad, Bahar Ramzan and Tapi Shahdad.

Sources reported that even though the military ended the house-to-house search of village on Tuesday evening but forces still remain in the area where they are turning public schools into military camps for further offensives.

Pro-freedom Baloch political parties and student organization say that most of these affected regions fall under the so called China-Pakistan Economic Corridor known as CPEC.

The Chinese government has recently expressed concerns about the security of its workers in Balochistan after the Baloch Liberation Army had accepted responsibility of an attack on Chinese workers in Windar region of Balochistan. Two Chinese engineers were killed and several injured.

The Baloch Liberation Army and other pro-freedom resistance organization have been continuous warning China to refrain from investing in ‘occupied Balochistan’ until the Balochistan conflict is resolved.
