 Balochistan: Chinese exploration company vehicle attacked in Gwadar

QUETTA: Two Pakistani security guards of a Chinese exploration company have been killed in Kulanch area of Pasni in ​​Gwadar district on Saturday.

A senior official of Pasni administration said that a Chinese oil and gas exploration company is working in Kulanch and surrounding areas.

Sources said that armed persons abducted three Pakistani personnel of the company including two security guards and a driver.

The two security guards were later killed and the driver was spared.

A Baloch pro-freedom resistance organisation, the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), claimed responsibility for killing the security guards.

An online account associated with the group wrote, “BLF attacks Chinese Oil & Gas Exploration Co. Two security personnel killed, a vehicle & weapons confiscated. Unarmed driver released.”

Pakistan and China have jointly been trying to make the Gwadar port functional but the Baloch pro-freedom organisation say they will resist any attempt of exploiting Baloch natural resources.

Pakistani forces have already killed and abducted several hundred Baloch people along the CPEC route people residing near Gwadar port.
