 Balochistan:  Women stage sit-in to protest abduction of their relatives

QUETTA:  Women and children in large numbers staged a sit-in protest outside a Pakistan security check post in Bullo region of Mand Balochistan on Monday to demand the release of their loved ones.

On Sunday evening the Pakistani forces attacked the house of Haji Adam Baloch and terrorized the inhabitant, broke windows and looted valuables which prompted the sit-in demonstration.

At least five people have been arrested and disappeared during the attack on Haji Adam’s house. The victims include Khalid son of Adam, Master Khodad, Faisal son of Abdul Raheem, Aqeel son of Master Khodad and Amjad son of Doshanbeh.

The protester demanded the immediate release of the men who, they said, have not committed any crime.

Pakistani forces have lately intensified its attacks and atrocities against Baloch people across Balochistan.

Baloch local Human Rights groups say that the number of enforced disappearances continues to rise in Balochistan, they estimate that number disappeared person in Balochistan has surpassed 25,000 since 2001.

Meanwhile, last night Pakistan forces have abducted another Baloch youth, Bahleel s/o Sikandar Bugti, from Uch area of Dera Bugti Balochistan.

The whereabouts of all the abducted men remained unknown until the filing of this report.
