QUETTA: At least two people have been killed and another two have been wounded when a vehicle of Zikri Baloch pilgrims was targeted on Monday.

According to details, the Baloch pilgrims from Zikri sect were on their way to Koh-e-Murad, a holy shrine in Turbat district Kech, when their vehicle was targeted with a remote-controlled device.

The incident took place in Kamp Tal in Gichk area of Panjgur Balochistan in which two men named Nakam son of Khuda Bakhsh, a tailor by profession and Khan Mohammad son of Shadaen died on the spot while two others have been wounded.

It is pertinent to note that Pakistan ISI and army backed criminal gangs who operate using religious names have been operating in the region and they have targeted the Zikri Baloch in past as well.

Local sources and analysts believe that Pakistani forces have created several death squads with religious names to deter the Baloch freedom movement.
