Balochistan: Nine Pakistani soldiers killed in two attacks, BLA accepts responsibility
QUETTA: At least four Pakistani troops have been killed and several others wounded in an ambush by Baloch freedom fighters in Behkad area of district Kohlu, Balochistan on Wednesday.
The spokesperson of Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), Azad Baloch, in a statement to media said, ‘Our Sarmachaars (freedom fighters) have ambushed the Pakistani forces convoy at Behkad when they were going to Bambor from Rakhni.’
He said that the gun battle continued for an hour in which a vehicle of Pakistani forces was destroyed. At least four Pakistani soldiers have been killed and many others wounded.
‘Our Sarmachaars have safely returned to their base. The BLA accept responsibility for this attack, Azad Baloch said, adding that ‘our activities will continue until the independence of the Baloch national state.’
Earlier in another statement BLA said that one of their fighter Qadir aka Laagari Marri ‘embraced martyrdom’ on 19 April in Brahmi Gokurt area of Bambor in Kahaan while defending the Baloch land against Pakistani aggression.
Azad Baloch had said that in Gokurt battle five Pakistani soldiers were also killed and several others injured.
Pakistani forces have been carrying out offensives in different areas of district Kohlu’s Kahaan sub-district from past two weeks where ground troops are being supported by gunship helicopters.
