 Balochistan: Nine children and women of one family abducted in Naseerabad

QUETTA: Pakistani forces have carried out offensives in Rabbi area of Naseerabad district in Balochistan on Tuesday and abducted nine women and children.

According to details, Pakistan military and intelligence forces have raided the house of Mr Shayhaq Bugti Baloch and forcibly disappeared four women and five children who were present in the house at the time of the military raid.

The victims have been named as follows:
1 – Dhando wife of Karim Bugti
2 – Shozan wife of Shayhaq Bugti
3 – Bujari wife of Shayhaq Bugti
4 – Paati daughter of Karim Bugti
5 – Jameel son of Karim Bugti (8 years old)
6 – Battay Khan son of Shayhaq Bugti (6 years old)
7 – Zargul wife of Shayhaq
8 – Aamina daughter of Shayhaq (3 years old)
9 – Noor Banuk daughter of Shayhaq

Meanwhile, the central spokesperson of the Baloch Republican Party, Mr Sher Mohammad Bugti, in a statement to media said, “Women have the highest respect in Baloch society. The abduction of women and children in Balochistan could worsen the situation and Pakistani state and its army will be held responsible for the deteriorating conditions.”

Mr Bugti has also requested Human Rights Organisations to break their silence against enforced disappearances of Baloch women at the hands of Pakistan army.

Baloch pro-freedom political parties and HR Organisations say that Pakistan army and intelligence agencies have abducted more than 20,000 Baloch including women and children from different areas of Balochistan.

Only two weeks ago Pakistan army had abducted several women and children including infants from district Awaran Balochistan but they were released after a few days.
