Balochistan: families appealed for the release of their loved ones

QUETTA: Families of three abducted Baloch have requested for the safe release of their loved one from the custody of Pakistani forces.

According to details, the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons has shared the pictures and appeals from the families of three previously abducted Baloch on social media for their immediate freedom.

The abducted men were named as Zafarullah, Ghulam Farooq and Abdul Hayee Baloch who were abducted from different areas of Balochistan and Sindh in 2013, 2015 and 2018 respectively.

According to the family sources of Zafarullah son of Mohamad Azum, he was abducted from Quetta – the capital of Balochistan – in 2013.

His aged mother has been knocking all the doors for her sons release but to no avail.

Ghulam Farooq son of Abdul Rasool was abducted from Hyderabad Sindh in 2015 and has been missing since.

His family has said that they have been trying to find out his whereabouts from the past four years without any success.

The third Baloch youth – Abdul Hayee Kurd son of Jumma Khan – was abducted on 21 May 2018 from Mach city of Balochistan.

His mother has appeal for his immediate release on humanitarian grounds.

The families of all three men said that their abduction and illegal detention for the past several years is causing psychological distress to their aged mothers and other immediate family members.

It is pertinent to emphasise that pro-freedom Baloch parties and Balochistan based Human Rights Groups including Voice for Baloch Missing Persons say that Pakistani forces have abducted and disappeared more than 20,000 Baloch including women and children since the year 2000 from different areas of Balochistan.

The Voice for Baloch Missing Persons has been continuously struggling for the safe recovery of Baloch missing persons since 2009.
