Balochistan Occupation Day: Activists run ‘Pakistan quit Balochistan’ campaign

BW News Web Desk (LONDON): Baloch activists run a day-long twitter campaign to highlight the plight of the Baloch nation on 27 March – occupation day of Balochistan. The Baloch activists and supporters of Baloch freedom struggle responded to the call of Free Balochistan movement for its ‘Pakistan quit Balochistan’ campaign.

The campaigners have highlighted the illegal occupation by Pakistan and the Pakistani state atrocities against Baloch people after occupation.

Free Balochistan Movement had earlier in March announced protests and other events including a protest London in front of British PM’s resident.

However, the protests were cancelled later due to Coronavirus or COVID-19 outbreak around the world and the respected countries governments’ advice to avoid large crowds and gatherings.

The party then advised its members, appealed the Baloch nation and well-wishers of Baloch freedom struggle to join the online campaign on 27 March 2020 to mark the Occupation Day.

Since the occupation of Balochistan by Pakistan in March 1948, the Baloch people have been in conflict with Pakistan and continued to demand from Pakistan to withdraw from Balochistan.

Pakistani state’s response to Baloch people’s peaceful and democratic struggle has been nothing but brutal use of forces and violence.

Currently the pro-freedom Baloch political party charge Pakistan of disappearing more than 20,000 Baloch activists and killing thousands of students, teachers, lawyers, doctors, professor, poets and other highly educated members of the Baloch nation.

The FBM activists say that ‘#PakistanQuitBalochistan’ campaign is the popular demand of Baloch freedom struggle which is aimed at driving occupying forces out of Balochistan and regaining their lost independence and sovereignty.
