By Nobat Marri The Communists openly declare that their ends can be attained only by the forcible overthrow of all existing social conditions. “Let the ruling classes tremble at a Communistic revolution. The proletarians have nothing to lose but their chains. They have a world to win.”
Similarly Baloch has nothing to lose but their chains, Baloch have already lost half of their country to Iran and Afghanistan in 1871, 1893 and the other half was occupied by Pakistan forcibly in 1948. To survive, today this oppressed nation has to gain back what it lost in the past or it will lose itself in oblivions.
The self-proclaimed “critics” fear that the resources of Baluchistan and its strategic location may invite other enemies in the future. They are of the view that Baloch may not be able to sustain their Independence even for a month if they get freedom from Pakistan and Iran. But they fail to understand that Baloch have defended their land for 1000s of years with stones and bare hands long ago when no one had even dreamt of failed states like Pakistan and Iran. The British Empire, which ruled India for 100 years couldn’t even remain in Baluchistan for a month with all of its might.
Some so-called state sponsored politicians, to hide the defeat of occupiers, also predict that Baluchistan may drift toward civil war on resources after independence. These claims and predications are nothing then psychological attacks outlined by Pakistani intelligence agencies to weaken the Baloch cause. This shows that they have very poor knowledge and understanding of the Baloch psyche. They are wrongly comparing the tribal system of Baloch with the Libyans and Somalis.
Today Baloch are educated compared to their forefathers. With limited resources and without support of any international power the Baloch has shaken the world’s fifth largest army and defeated them physically and psychologically.
The brutal and inhuman methods the occupiers have chosen, to eliminate the Baloch educated class, shows their fear and psychological defeat. Baluch have received more than 500 bullet-riddled and mutilated bodies that include students, doctors, lawyers, intellectual, poets and other daily wages laborers.
According to the Voice for Baloch missing persons (VBMP) 14500 Baloch are still languishing in the brutal torture cells of Pakistani forces. The state claims there are only 45 Baloch missing but at the same time fails to explain where these tortured and mutilated bodies are coming from?
Major general Obaid-Ullah khatak recently claimed in a press conference that there are 20 foreign agencies involved in abducting and killing Baloch. But he forgets that he himself had earlier confirmed that the kill and dump policy is being carried out by Pakistani patriots. One would have the right to question IG FC, who are those Pakistan lovers?
The CCTV footages presented in Supreme Court show FC abducting three Baloch youth and taking them to an undisclosed location. Pakistan Supreme Court took Suo motu notice and ordered FC to produce the abducted Baloch but instead their bodies were dumped in barren lands.
The inhuman treatment by the occupying state couldn’t even deter the Baloch an inch to back off from their just struggle for national liberation. Instead the brutalities against Baloch uplifted the struggle to a new height, which has, according to some reports, forced the occupying Pakistani forces to commit suicides while on duty in Baluchistan.
Baloch has already lost everything from their state to their loved ones what else they have to lose? Nothing! They only have to win back a new world through their continuous struggle – they have to win their freedom and sovereignty.
