Human rights activists protested against enforced-disappearances in Balochistan at Trafalgar Squar London on Saturday.

The International Committee against Disappearance and International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons organised a protest demonstration at London’s busy Trafalgar Square, as part of their on-going campaign against human rights violations in Balochistan.

The participants held banners, placards and pictures of abducted and extra-judicially killed persons. They also distributed leaflets and explained the situation of Balochistan to by-passers and tourist from many countries of the world. Many people stood by to express their support and encouraged the protesters to continue the good work.

Dr Mostafa Baloch, the Co-ordinator of International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons in London, said Pakistan and Iran were most brutal states. “Both fundamentalist and jihadist states are carrying out the genocide of Baloch nation. It is an irony that world still cannot see the brutalities of Pakistan and Iran against the Baloch people. China should not be a party between Baloch and Pakistan: Hrbyair Marri

Posted on 2013-02-12 ( 1530 reads )

London :

China should not be partner in crime with Pakistan in exploiting Baloch national wealth. The world powers instead of expressing concern should practically act against Pakistan’s decision to hand over Gawadar port to China. The world should support the Baloch freedom struggle. Baloch patriot leader, Hyrbyair Marri, expressed these views in a statement issued from London.

He said Pakistan has been looting and plundering the Baloch national resources since it occupied Balochistan but the liberation struggle has created several hurdles to fail Pakistani exploitative policies. After failing to defeat Baloch freedom movement, Pakistan has planned to lure some powerful countries to invest in Balochistan. Few years ago India, Russia, China and Germany, with the assurance of Pakistan, had agreed to invest in Balochistan but after thorough observation of the situation they realised that the Baloch nation does not support Iran – Pakistan – India (IPI) gas pipeline and other projects. That’s why they became less interested in investment in Balochistan and one by one they abandoned these controversial projects.

However, Pakistan has now once again conned China for exploration of oil and gas in different areas of Balochistan and has also handed over the Gawadar port to China. Several countries in the region have expressed their concern over this deal, which the Baloch people appreciate, but only expressing reservations are insufficient.

The Baloch leader said that China’s interference between Baloch and Pakistan could create difficulties and complexities in the region. “We want to make it clear to China and other powers in the world that we wish peace and prosperity for this region and we respect all nations. We expect the world to recognise Baloch as a nation and support the Baloch freedom struggle,” Said Mr Marri.

“They had started a true revolutionary struggle against Pakistani occupation, barbarism and exploitation. They were among the pioneers of the current Baloch struggle and they were resolute and fearless sons of Baloch motherland,” Mr Marri said.

The Baloch leader further said Gul Bahar and his comrades bravely fought against state’s absolute aggression and their ultimate sacrifice ignited new inspirations of freedom in minds of Baloch from all spheres of life. Their sacrifice also sent a strong message to the occupying state that Baloch nation is a living nation.

“Pakistan cannot continue to enslave Baloch nation any longer because the Baloch have set their true goal and it is now imminent that Balochistan will become a free and sovereign county,” said Hyrbyair Marri.

Mr. Marri added that after killing the Baloch youth the occupying state had claimed that they had killed RAW agents but to this day the state has failed to provide any evidence against them or other martyrs of liberation to prove them as agents of foreign countries.
