Baloch patriot leader Hrybyair Marri said, on Thursday, the criminal silence of Pakistani media, so-called civil society and international community on the ongoing military operations in Balochistan is deplorable.
Mr. Marri said that the Baloch media has been extensively reporting about the state’s preparations for military offensives in several regions of Balochistan including Kohistan Marri, Dera Bugti and Awaran. Now as the upcoming elections are nearing the enemy state is intensifying its atrocities. But it is of grave concern that all these atrocities are happening right before the eyes of everyone but humanitarian organizations, so called free media and every other section of Pakistani society are criminally silent on this grave issue.
“Those who continuously try to convince us that Pakistani judiciary and media are impartial about Baloch genocide; they should ask themselves, why they do not hear any voice from them [Pakistani media and judiciary] in protest against the state barbarism in Balochistan. No one expressed their anger on the killings of dozens of innocent women and children and the relentless state atrocities in Mashkay from past three day,” Mr Marri said.
The Baloch leader said, “This once again confirms our belief that Baloch are alone in their fight for their defence and national salvation. There are no sympathisers for Baloch in Pakistan and as long as the Baloch yearn for freedom the state will try to kill them silently and in isolation.” He further said, “We have no complaints against anyone. However, we want to put everything on record so that no one claims in future about the existence of free judiciary and civil society which raises voice for human rights or sympathisers of Baloch in Pakistan.”
Mr. Marri said that so-called Baloch nationalists [pro-parliament] parties are equally responsible for the criminal acts of Pakistan, because despite the destruction of Baloch houses and state atrocities they are still longing for Pakistani parliament. “We suspect as the elections get closer the pro-parliament Baloch parties will recommend the state to take more severe actions because they want to curtail the Baloch desire for freedom and pave their way to reach to the parliament.”

The Baloch activists in London organised a protest demonstration outside British Parliament on Friday to condemn the military operation in Mashkay Balochistan.
The Baloch Student Organisation –azad (London) had given the call for protest and the International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons had endorsed it.
The participants of the protest were carrying placards demanding to stop military operations in Balochistan. They urged the British government and the international community to break their silence on the ongoing Pakistani atrocities in Balochistan.
The protestors also urged the UK government to stop supporting Pakistan which, according them, was involved in crime against humanity.
Hamdan Baloch, an activist of BSO-Azad (London), said, “The aid the Pakistani gets from UK, America and rest of the world to fight against extremism is being used against Baloch liberation struggle. Pakistan is bombing civilian populated areas across Balochistan due which several innocent Baloch including women and children have been killed.”
He further said the military operation which started in Mashkay on 25 December is continuation of the ongiong military offensives in all over Balochistan. “Paskistani military besieged the Mashkay region of Awaran, Balochistan and started a house-to-house search. During the so called search operation women and children were beaten up and harassed.” He further added, “Houses of Dr Allah Nazar Baloch and his relatives were bombed in Mehi village in Awaran. Several houses were also reportedly destroyed with dynamites – due which the houses were burnt to ashes.”

(Press release: Balochistan Liberation Charter – Coordinating Committee 12/12/2012): The Coordinating Committee held a meeting on 12th December 2012 to examine the comments and suggestions made in respect of the Balochistan Liberation Charter. During this meeting the Committee also discussed plans to launch the charter, after careful consideration of all the comments and suggestions they made the final amendments and technical adjustments.
The Committee concluded that more than sufficient time has been allocated to the initial recipients to respond with their suggestions and comments and that it was now time for the Charter to be made public. The coordinating committee said that any undue delay would not serve those interested in liberation struggle but only lead to further confusion.
The experience of last few months has shown that many who have either not wanted to see the charter or those who have not read it have raised their voice against it. “From time to time we have also heard accusations and assertions being circulated about the contents of the charter that are contrary to the core spirit of the charter itself,” said the BLC coordinating in their press release.
