Quetta :

The Baloch National Voice in a statement on Monday said that the killing of pro-freedom activists Naseer Baloch, Shah Noor Baloch and Shah Zaib Baloch under the custody of occupying forces is in reaction of successful boycott of Pakistani election.

“The state [Pakistan] and its collaborators have lost their senses after the complete boycott of Pakistani elections in Balochistan. They realised that Baloch are united on their one point agenda of free Balochistan. They know that now the Baloch cannot be deceived any more that’s why they have intensified their brutalities and inhuman actions once again,” The BNV spokesperson said.

The pro-freedom Baloch organisation said that after the success of Punjabi league (PML-N) in Islamabad and in Balochistan, five dead body of Baloch youth were dumped in one day, which is not a surprise because Baloch does not expect any good and sympathy from them.

The BNV statement further read that, “These people [Pakistani parliamentarians] were claiming to stop the disappearance and extra-judicial killings in Balochistan but even before they settled down, the state has intensified killed and dump. It illustrates that the state barbarism will continue in Balochistan and these pro-Pakistan Baloch cannot do anything to stop the atrocities.”

The Baloch nation despite Pakistani atrocities and deployment of over 100,000 of its troops in Balochistan has successfully boycotted the election. The Baloch through this democratic and peaceful boycott send a clear message to the international community that Balochistan is an occupied territory and the Baloch are adamant to regain their freedom and sovereign status.

Despite minor political differences the nation stood united to challenge the Pakistani atrocities and rejected the pro-Pakistan Baloch parliamentarians who wanted to cash the name of Baloch martyrs of liberation for personal interests.

Why do the Baloch Reject the 2013 Election? Dr Allah Nizar Baloch

Posted on 2013-05-08 ( 1006 reads )

Kech :

Colonial powers such as Pakistan make laws to justify their occupation, and to exploit the resources of the colonized by hiding behind the obscuring veil of the state and elections.

The Indian National Congress took part in elections under an electoral framework formulated by the British Empire. According to Abdul Kalam Azad, the President of the Congress, all Congress ministers would work under the influence of British governors, and would adopt policies dictated by those governors, as a result of these elections. Is it not true that wherever colonials formulate laws, they aim to legitimize their exploitation and plunder under the shadow of those very laws?

The same thing has been happening in our Baloch land since 1948. The whole nation has been taken hostage, in exchange for a small share of state power for a small group of individuals (and that, too not at the state’s highest levels) . In order to protect and sustain this small privileged group, elections will be held in occupied Balochistan–with the help of extensive force.

In March 1948, Pakistan violated international laws governing political boundaries, and invaded the Baloch land by military force. From day one and up to 1973, the Pakistani assembly passed many laws to thwart the Baloch land’s political status, and annex it to Western Pakistan-cum-Punjab. Similarly, those laws and legislative institutions became the basis for the execution of the Baloch people. Everyone, from Babu Nowroz to Hamid Baloch, was a victim of these same assemblies and of their drafted laws. On the basis of such laws and assemblies, non-Balochi languages were imposed on the Baloch, their cultural values were distorted, and extensive efforts were made to cause the Baloch to be attracted to the unnatural country of Pakistan–a trend that continues today.
