Baluch Human Rights Organization (BHRO) protested in front of Quetta Press club against the targeted killings of renowned Baluch educationist and Vice Principal of a secondary school, Nazeer Marri, and senior member of Baluch National Movement Karachi, Dr. Raheem Baksh Baloch.
Addressing the rally, the leaders of BHRO said that murder of Nazeer Marri and Raheem Baksh is the continuity of Baluch genocide. The killing of Baluch intellectuals and educationists is a calculated conspiracy, which intends to plunge the Baluch nation into darkness. Earlier, Baluch intellectual and professor of Baluchistan University, Saba Dashtiyari, Master Hamid and many other teachers, lawyers, intellectuals, journalists, students and doctors were targeted in similar attacks.
It must be noted that Nazeer Marri was abducted three times and released in critical condition each time. He was killed when he was returning home from school along with his grandson.
The speakers said that teachers including Master Sattar, Master Safeer, Master Saleem, Abdul Rehman Arif, Waheed Qambrani and many others were abducted, subsequently killed and dumped in most brutal manners by security forces of Pakistan.
They further said that along with Baluchistan, the genocidal measures against Baluch have also started in Karachi. The senior member of BNM and social activist, Dr. Raheem Baksh, was targeted when he was in his clinic.
The speakers said that UN, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and various other organizations have established that Pakistani security forces are involved in Baluch genocide. Even the Pakistani Supreme Court has accepted this fact.
Meanwhile, a shutter down protest was observed in Turbat, Panjgur, Pasni, Hoshaab, Mand, Hub and other town and districts of Baluchistan on the call of Baluch National Front (BNF) against killing of Nazeer Marri and abduction of 75 year old Munshi Mohammad Baksh Baluch.
The government of offices and private business remained shut during the protest and heavy contingency of security forces were deployed to prevent any unpleasant occurrences.
