Pakistan Coast guard arrested over fifty Baloch, two bullet-riddled bodies found

Pakistani security forces have arrested over fifty Baloch civilians from district Gawadar in Balochistan during a search operation on Friday evening.

According to details Pakistan Coast guard and other security forces carried out a joint search operation in different areas of Kulaanch and arrested over fifty Baloch civilian. On the early hours of Saturday morning the Coast guard vehicles were taking the arrested men toward an unknown location for interrogation when one the vehicles overturned. Resultantly 16 people have been wounded.

The victims of the unfortunate accident were named as Sohrab S/O Ismael, Ishaq S/O Abdi, Khoda Bakhsh S/O Ali, Pashanby S/O Mayar, Allah Dad S/O Haji Abdi residents of Kulaanch. Akbar S/O Dad Bakhsh, Saleem S/O Delpol, Raheem Bakhsh S/O peeral residents of Kapar Bandi and Noor Bakhsh S/O Khoda Bakshsh, Amir Bakhsh S/O Chakar Khan resident of Hub Chowki, Balochistan. Four men among the above mentioned persons were critically injured and have been shifted to Karachi for treatment.

The injured Coast guard personnel were named as Naveed Rustom, Malik Abbas, Ishfaq Ahamd, Qaisar Abbas, Nadeem and Faisal all resident of Punjab, Pakistan.

Sources reported that the injured persons have been released after preliminary check-up and treatment.

Whereabouts of the other abducted people is still unknown. The abducted men included several teachers and professors including Professor Mohammad Azeem Baloch.

The Pakistan Coast Guard and security forces have harassed women and children and violated the sanctity of houses during the search operation, residents complained.

Separately, a man named Abdul Khaliq Mengal was abducted from Grayzai area of Khuzdar Balochistan.

Two bullet-ridden bodies found: Sources ported that passers-by found a body lying in Ghazal Nullah area of Sibi, one of the ancient towns of Balochistan. The local authorities shifted the corpse to hospital where the victim was identified as Mureed Marri, a resident of Sibi town.

The second body was recovered in Surab region in Kalat district. The victim was identified as Muhammad Alam, a resident of Surab. The victims’ bodies were handed over to their heirs after fulfilling initial medical formalities.
