A strike was held against killing of a Baloch youth in Panjgur and Pakistani security forces shelling on Kabo near Espilinji in Balochistan.
According details the Baloch National Front (BNF), on Thursday, had given the call for a shutter down protest against security forces operation and use of gunship helicopters against non-combats in killi Kabo area and killing of a Baloch youth namely Siraaj Baloch in Panjgur, Balochistan.
All the shops, restaurants and business centres remained closed in Kech region and there was reportedly thin traffic on roads on Thursday. Commuters faced difficulties due to the strike and shutter down protest. According to BNF schedule there will a protest in Jahalawan on Friday (today) and on 22nd of July they have given a call for protest in Darkhshan area of Balochistan.
The BNF in a press release said that the scheduled protest was aimed to create public awareness and gain further support of Baloch masses. They said it was absolutely important to have the support of masses on ideological basis.
They said the Pakistani Prime Minister’s refusal to talk with genuine Baloch leadership and operations and bombardment in breadth and width of Balochistan illustrate that Pakistan do not want to resolve Balochistan issue peacefully.
The BNF said that pro-freedom Baloch leadership has already made it clear that negotiations can only take place if Independence of Balochistan is part the talks. The coalition of Baloch freedom seeking parties said that the Supreme Court of Pakistan was hearing the cases of Baloch missing persons only to save the shattered image of the state.
