Boycott Pakistani elections in Balochistan: Pro-freedom Baloch parties to launch anti election protests

The pro-independence Baloch political parties and student organisations in their separate statements have announced to boycott Pakistani elections in Balochistan.

The patriot Baloch parties that are boycotting the Pakistani elections include the Baloch National Movement, the Baloch National Voice, the Baloch Republican Party, the Baloch Liberation Party, the Baloch Student Organisation – Azad and the Baloch Salvation Front.

Meanwhile, the Baloch National Front (BNF), an alliance BSO-Azad and BNM, has decided to observe complete shutter-down and wheel-jam strike in Balochistan from May 5 to May 11, aimed at disrupting the upcoming Pakistani elections.

The BNF also decided to continue its earlier decision of boycotting all Urdu news channels and some daily newspapers in Balochistan. They Baloch pro-freedom parties maintain that the state run media is promoting the state agenda and distorting the Baloch national struggle.

B L A claims responsibility for attacks on Pakistani security forces in Balochistan

The Baloch Liberation Army claimed it has attacked Pakistani security forces in different areas of Balochistan.

According to details Meerak Baloch, a spokesperson of BLA, claimed that fighters from his organisation attack a convoy of FC in Maargat area of Balochistan on Wednesday (10-04-2013). The Online news quoted Mr Baloch as saying, “Our freedom fighters have ambushed the FC convoy and killed several soldiers.”

Meerak Baloch further said that Maadi Gas Company and other foreign companies are involved in looting the natural resources of Balochistan and these companies on the target of Baloch fighters.

Meanwhile, in a separate attack the Baloch fighter have attacked an FC check post in Marwaad area of Balochistan. The spokesperson Meerak Baloch claimed that at least two FC personnel have been killed and several others injured.

Baloch pro-freedom parties condemn attack on Daily Tawar, protest against military operation

Baloch pro-independence Baloch Parties and Student Organisations strongly condemn the attack on Daily Tawar’s office saying that the state was sacred of the Newspaper because of exposing the state atrocities in Balochistan and representing the genuine Baloch aspirations.

The Baloch National Voice termed the attack as an act of cowardice and a continuation of Pakistan’s anti Baloch policies.

“The banning of BSO-Azad, discovery of mutilated bodies of abducted Baloch, military operations in different areas of Baloch and threating the members of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons are all connected to each other and it is the work of state security forces,” The BNV said in its statement.

The BNV also strongly condemned the state media for its silence over human rights violations in Balochistan and attack on Daily Tawar.

Pakistan bans Sindhi and Baloch political and student organisations to please Taliban: AHRC

The Hong Kong based Asian Human Rights Commission in a report alleged that baning of Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz (JSMM) and the Baloch Student Organisation – Azad (BSO-Azad) was an effort to mislead the international community and prove her loyalty toward the extremist Taliban.

The Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) said in its report on 5 April that it has received information that the government of Pakistan, in an effort to show the international community that it is taking action against the fundamentalist and religious terrorist organizations, has revealed its continued loyalties towards the Taliban and similar terrorist groups by banning the three secular and nationalist organizations including a student organization from Balochistan.

The report alleged, “The religious terrorist groups have always remained dear to the state and its intelligence agencies. It is no longer a secret that these groups are collecting funds on the streets and running terrorist recruiting centres in the cities including Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore. All these groups have received training from retired army officers who have been identified in the media and international reports. The governments and its intelligence agencies are well aware of the training centres and recruiting seminaries of these terrorist organizations but to-date no action has been taken.”

The AHRC said both the Baloch student Organisation – Azad and the JSMM were secular organisation working for the uplift of their oppressed nations – Sindh and Balochistan.

Attorney General and CID Officials Trying To Conceal The truth about abducted Baloch: Chairman VBMP

The chairman of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons, Mr Nasrullah Baloch, said Pakistani attorney general and CID officials are systematically trying to hide the truth about Baloch missing persons.

He expressed these views while talking to Online News. He said, “It is a proven fact and also Supreme Court accepted that abduction of Baloch youth and extra-judicial killings are the work of secret agencies.” The chief justice also ordered to register cases against the representatives of these institutions who are involved in abducting and killings of Baloch youth, he added.

Mr Baloch further said that IG police also submitted in his written report to the court which stated that secret agencies were involved in abductions. Balochistan police even submitted a video footage, which clearly showed that FC and agencies are loading Baloch youths in their vehicle in front of a hotel.

Pakistani security forces' offensives continue in Balochistan

The Army and FC raided houses of Baloch civilians in New Kahan, Pasni, and Dera Bugti

Pakistani Military and other security forces are continuing their offensives across Balochistan as pro-Pakistan political parties prepare for election.

On 1st April the FC raided several houses in New Kahan Quetta and resorted to aerial firing which created panic among the residents.

According to the Baloch National Voice (BNV) Pakistani security forces harassed women and children and looted valuables from houses including four motorcycles, six bicycles, around four dozen blankets, two dozen sacks of stocked grain, mobile phones, jewelleries, prayers mates from Masjids and other goods.

Baloch people observes the 27 March as a Black Day against occupation of Balochistan

*Pakistani security forces attacked a protest rally against occupation in Quetta, several were reportedly injured.
*At least 17 people including women and children killed in Dera Bugti military offensives


Baloch nation observed the 27 March as a Black Day to mark the occupation of the Eastern Part of Balochistan by Pakistan on 27 March 1948.

The Baloch pro-freedom parties had appealed the Baloch nation to observe shutter-down strike and organise protest rallies to mark the day to express their hatred against occupation.

The people of Balochistan have responded positively to the strike call by the Baloch Salvation Front, Baloch National Movement, the Baloch Martyrs Committee, the Baloch Student Organisation – Azad and other pro-liberation party. Protest rallies took to streets in almost all major cities of Balochistan. Thousands of participants were carrying flags of Balochistan and chanting slogan of FREEDOM. They also chanted slogans in favour of Baloch resistance movement and condemned state atrocities in Balochistan.

27 March 1948 Pakistan occupied sovereign state of Balochistan: Hyrbyair Marri

Baloch patriot leader Hyrbyair Marri on Friday announced to support the shutter down call strike by Baloch Salvation Front on 27 March 2013, the Online News reported.

He said on 27 March 1948 Pakistan not only occupied the Baloch state but also pushed the Baloch nation in the darkness of slavery. Hence, the Baloch are resisting on all fronts to get rid of the slavery and regain their freedom.

Mr Marri said the Baloch identity, culture, language and other occurrences of daily life have been under the influence of occupying states since the occupation of Balochistan. However, he said, it was a positive sign that brave Baloch youth have never let the evil designs of the occupying states to succeed.

“The state and its collaborators have used different mediums including intimidation, incentives and torture against freedom loving Baloch activists but none could deter the courageous Baloch youth from the struggle for freedom. Today in all four corners of Balochistan the pro-independence Baloch are challenging the hegemony of enemies over Balochistan. The consistent struggle Baloch people is an illustration of their determination and ideological maturity,” said Hyrbyair Marri.

The continuous strike of the families of abducted Baloch is being ignored by world media: VBMP

(By Archen Baloch) The chairman of the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons, Mr Nasrullah Baloch, told the media on Thursday that extra judicial killings, abduction of Baloch people and throwing their mutilated dead bodies on deserted areas is not a good example of civilized societies.

He said the International Media and Human Rights bodies were ignoring the plight of the Baloch people which is why the rights violations continue in Balochistan unabated.

He said Hakeem Bugti and Sanwal Bugti had been released, but Ali Bugti and Asgar Ali Bugti were still missing. These people were extra abducted by security forces a few days back from Jamshoro area of Khaiderabad city in Sindh. He said these people were among the Baloch IDPs who were forced to seek refuge in Sindh in 2006 when Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti was murdered by Pakistani forces.

“Three more people, Sanaulla, Jalil Ahmed and Naseer Ahmed have been arrested from Quetta,” Mr Baloch said, adding that the families including women and children of the disappeared persons have been constantly protesting but nobody listens to them.

Parent of alleged ‘bomber boys’ say police and Pakistani FC has tortured their children

Parents of 11 Baloch children arrested in a Police operation in Killi Khailli of Quetta staged a protest demonstration outside Quetta Press Club on Thursday (14 March 2013).

The relatives said, “Many of the children were abducted by the security forces and have been missing for several days, and the local Police Station had been informed about the abduction of the boys.”
The protesters were carrying placards inscribed with demands including ‘we want justice’ and ‘release innocent children’. They chanted slogans against the government.

An aged women, resident of Killi Geo, describing herself as grandmother of Amir Khan, who is also in police custody said, “Security personnel forcibly entered our house violating our sanctity and abducted my grandson Amir.”

She said that arresting innocent children was in fact a shameful act and providing security to the people is responsibility of the government, but contrary to it the government itself is committing crime against the citizens.

“My brother Muhammad Sabir, 16, student of class IX was asleep when security personnel raided our home and picked him up saying they would only interrogate him,” Abdullah said while holding the portrait of his brother.
