Speaking at the occasion the vice chairman of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons, Qadeer Baloch, said that, “we have taken out this rally on the completion of our 1000 days of protest for the release of our loved ones. Today is an important day for Baloch struggle because despite abduction of 14500 of our beloved ones and killing of 606 activists in custody, our movement is continuing with patience and consistency. The intelligence agencies of Pakistan have threaten to kill us [leaders and workers of voice for Baloch Missing Persons) but I will not mention those difficulties and hardships, because those who are sacrificing their lives, and those who are languishing in enemy’s secret prisons are facing inhuman torture and state barbarism which are far greater hardships than what we are facing.”

Pro-Pakistan nationalist parties are ganging up against Baloch freedom movement: BNM

Quetta :

The central spokesperson of Baloch National Movement (BNM) said on Monday that occupying Pakistan state was engaged in a sinister design to align all so called nationalist parties into a front against Baloch freedom struggle.

According to BNM spokesperson the National Party and other pro-establishment parties have been tasked to revive the dead politics of vote and money and start smear propaganda against popular freedom movement. The National Party in a recent statement said, “The elections are the only way to prevent civil war in Balochistan.” BNM alleged that such statements are clear proof of National Party's collusion and collaborating with the state forces against Baloch struggle.

The spokesperson further charged that National Part has become a propaganda machine for the state that is why it was trying to portray the Baloch national resistance movement as a civil war. “NP with its smear campaign wants to defame the Baloch liberation struggle among Baloch masses so that Baloch nation will remain under the slavery of Pakistan for ever,” said BNM.

Quetta :

Baloch Human Rights Organisation (BHRO) staged simultaneous protest rallies in front of Quetta Press club and Arts council Karachi on International Day for Human Rights on Monday.

A large number of Baloch women and children participated in the protest to urge the international human rights Organisations to take to notice of ongoing human rights violations in Balochistan. They were carrying placards and banners of their enforced-disappeared relatives and extra-judicially killed Baloch activists.

More than 14,000 Baloch, which include men, women and children, have gone missing since 2001. More than 600 mutilated bodies of Baloch detainees have been found since July 2010. These brutalities have been documented by Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and American foreign department, UN commission for Human Rights, Asian Human Rights Commission and Human Rights Commission of Pakistan.

The speakers said that despite the continuous gross human rights violations in Balochistan by Pakistan the UN has refrained from taking any bold action against Pakistan and only limited itself to expressing concern through media.

UN should acknowledge the Baloch struggle and take notice of Balochistan’s occupation: BNV

Posted on 2012-12-04 ( 1119 reads )

Quetta :

The Baloch National Voice has applauded the decision of United Nations to give Palestine the status of non-member observer state, and said “It is the moral duty of all member states of UN to acknowledge the national liberation struggle of Baloch nation, which is in accordance with the UN Charter.”

BNV requested the member states to take immediate notice of on-going brutal repression and human rights violations in Balochistan by Pakistan. The world is aware that Baloch were not a part of Pakistan and they will never be part of it. Baloch were the owners of a sovereign and independent state long before Pakistan came into existence. Pakistan and its Punjabi Army violated the sovereignty of Baloch national state and occupied it at gunpoint.

The Baloch National Voice said, “The Baloch nation has been striving to restore the sovereign and independent status of Balochistan from the day one of occupation. Pakistani forces are using all their might and conducting a full scale calculated genocide of Baloch nation to maintain their occupation on Balochistan.”

The BNV in their statement further said that the Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo are considered the most inhuman detention centres and the investigation procedures are considered brutal but even then the representatives of Human Rights Organisations have access to these places. Various reports, pictures and video clips from these places have surfaced. Even the most dangerous detainees have the rights to defend themselves before the courts. Whereas the killing fields and torture cells of Pakistani Army and its intelligence agencies are never taken into notice. Baloch political prisoners are suffering the most brutal torture possible, which is at much higher scale than the brutalities in Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo detention centres. Baloch prisoners are tortured and kept for years before their bullet-riddled bodies are dumped in desolate places.
