London :

Baloch online activists made remarkable use of social media forums such as Twitter and Facebook to observe their ex-independence day.

Calling it 'Baloch Spring' wouldn't be wrong, Baloch Tweeples and Facebookers carried out a successful online awareness campaign on the occasion of remembrance of August 11 the Balochistan Independence Day. Videos and Photos of events and ceremonies throughout Balochistan were posted on social networking sites as a part of the campaign.

The awareness campaign, “Balochistan was once a free country", gained marvelous attention especially on micro-blogging site twitter where the hashtag #BalochIndependenceDay trended in Pakistan and London for several hours.
Not many know, Balochistan was declared an independent state on August 11th, 1947 but was later invaded and occupied by Pakistan on March 27th, 1948. Since then the Baloch people have been struggling to regain their lost independence.

Balochistan in Olympics: London: Leaflets distributed among Olympics visitors titling "Balochistan - the lost country". These leaflets were distributed by members of Baloch Student Organization (BSO) Azad, London zone.
