London :

“The main issue of Balochistan is the illegal occupation, not the enforced-disappearances. People are being disappeared because of struggle against the occupation of Balochistan. Provincialists are misusing the issue of abducted Baloch to pave their way to reach the Parliament of occupying state. They should know that so called suo moto action by Supreme Court is another phase of ongiong operations against Baloch people. The Baloch people are courageously continuing their struggle against Pakistani barbarism and Baloch patriots are holding the flag of freedom high. Hence, Pakistan is hesitant and using the judiciary and provincialists to weaken the Baloch freedom struggle”, Baloch patriot leader Hyrbyair Marri expressed these views in a statement from London.

Mr. Marri further said that Pakistan army and Frontier Corps are directly involved in enforced-disappearances, extra judicially killings of Baloch political activists. They have also committed crimes in Balochistan that are tantamount to genocide but the Supreme Court instead of punishing them is advising them to decommission their anti Baloch death squads. He said such suggestions to FC and Army by the Supreme Court illustrate that Pakistan’s barbaric method of kill and dump has also failed to stop the liberation struggle. “Now they are thinking of new tricks and tactics to weaken Baloch cause but they should know that Baloch are well-aware of their cunningness.”

Strongly criticising the state policies in Balochistan Mr Marri said that an International beggar like Pakistan was trying to mislead the world by showing bogus sympathy toward the victims of flood in Balochistan. The announcement of help is nothing but lip service; on the ground there is no relief for the Baloch who are affected by the floods. He said. “Those Baloch who were forced to leave their native town due to indiscriminate bombardment by Pakistani army, are living under open sky in appalling conditions. Many have died because of recent floods in those areas. One needs to think that despite of being owner of a resource rich land, why Baloch are living under such hard conditions? If Balochistan was not occupied and Baloch people were not enslaved today they would have been one of the most prosperous and successful nations in the world.”

Commenting on the religious tolerance in Balochistan, Hyrbyair Marri said that we respect all religions. He added that under a systematic and pre-planned conspiracy the Hindu minorities are being attacked in Balochistan to send a wrong message to the International community that there is intolerance for other religions. “We want to make it clear to the world that Hindus, Christians and other minorities have lived in Balochistan for hundreds of years in peace and harmony. Baloch nation has always protected Hindu and Christian minorities; they are absolutely free to go to their religious places and practice their religions. Today the Pakistani intolerance and extremism has gone to an extent that they are threatening the minorities and forced conversions have become a routine. Those who negate the demands of state sponsored extremist groups are either kidnapped or forced to leave Balochistan.”

Expressing his views about handing over Gawadar Port to China, the Baloch leader said that, “we consider any such agreement collusion between two exploiting nations to strengthen themselves in the region. China is not only eyeing on the Baloch land due to its strategic importance but it is also aiding Pakistan in Baloch genocide as it is helping in exploitation of Baloch resources. Because of the correlation of both China and Pakistan, the Baloch nation is facing difficulties in gaining its freedom. China’s direct negotiation with Pakistan on Gwadar port portrays her criminal intentions in future. We would like to inform all countries including China that they should consider the ground realities and refrain from entering into any agreement with Pakistan that harms the Baloch national interest because the Baloch people would not tolerate any such contracts, and would deem it as illegal.
