Quetta :

The central representative of Baloch Students Organisation - Azad has said that the Pakistani Parliamentarian and the so-called advocate of self-determination, Akhtar Mengal, on one hand reiterates time and again that we do not believe in any Pakistani institution but at the same time he has travelled all the way back to Pakistan to become an aide to Pakistani Supreme Court.

“Failed in gaining wider support of Baloch nation with terms like "self-determination" and "nationalism", Mr. Mengal is now pretending to be a messiah of Baloch families whose loved one has been abducted and brutally murdered by the Pakistan security agencies. All this drama is fashioned to achieve safe passage to elections but Mr. Mengal should know that the Baloch nation is now sane enough to differentiate between its foe and friend. The Baloch nation has now identified the master of words and agents of occupiers,” the BSO-Azad statement said.

The statement further said that the same Akhtar Mengal who wasted no instance to ask for International intervention is now being aide to Pakistani Supreme Court, which is also involved in Baloch killings. Indicating willingness to participate in Pakistani elections Mr. Mengal and his party have unveiled their face of “nationalism” and their sincerity with the Baloch land.

The whole state machinery including judiciary is involved in brutalities in Balochistan and Mr. Mengal’s decision to assist them is tantamount to becoming their partner in crime.

By associating the sacrifices given by Baloch Sons in last 65 years with provincial autonomy Mr. Mengal has undermined the sacrifices of Akbar khan Bugti and thousands of other Baloch martyrs.

It is to be noted that Mr Mengal went back from London to Pakistan to appear before the Supreme Court of Pakistan as a witness against Pakistani security forces for their involvement in kidnapping and extra judicially killing hundreds of Baloch activists. Prior to Mengal’s visit relatives of Baloch enforced-Disappeared persons, the Quetta police chief and other witnesses have also appeared before the court and nominated FC, Military and intelligence agencies’ officials for abducting Baloch activists. However, the court has failed to take any action against the head of security forces.
