A delegation of BNM (Karachi) Lyari zone visited the hunger strike protest camp of families of abducted Baloch outside Quetta press club. The protest of the desperate families of Baloch victims of enforced-disappearance and dump & kill policy has reached its 827th day, on Thursday.
The BNM delegation extended their solidarity to the families to Baloch martyrs and those who are still being illegally detained by Pakistani security forces. Speaking to the protesters at Camp the delegation said that to expand its illegal occupation over Balochistan the state was using inhuman mediums in an unsuccessful attempt to defeat Baloch national freedom movement.
They said over 500 people have been killed and dumped under the state’s “Torture, kill and dump” policy since July 2010. “The victims of these barbaric tortures include Baloch political activists, intellectuals, lawyers, journalists, teacher and people from all spheres of life. People are tortured, killed and dumped in desolated area and jangles across Balochistan”, said the BNM delegation.
The statement issue on Daily Tawar, a Balochistan based Urdu daily, further read: “The state forces do not hesitate to attack huts of innocent Baloch, set standing crops on fire and loot valuable or livestock of Baloch civilians.” The target killing of Baloch intellectuals, supportive to the National Movement, was continued and several Baloch women and children were also suffering torture in Pakistani security forces custody. Several people have been killed by state forces – hence, no one is safe from state sponsored barbarity, the statement of the delegation added.
