The house of well-known Baloch poetess Ms Naushin Qambarani was raided by Pakistani forces here on Tuesday afternoon.
According to reports residence of Balochi writer, poetess, lecturer of Sardar Bhadur Khan Women University, Balochistan and social worker Ms. Naushin Qambarani’s was raided today by Pakistan’s secret security agencies on Saryab Road Quetta. The raid took place between 6 and 7 O’clock in the evening as the plan clothed armed officials came on a Surf (Toyota) vehicle and tried to enter into the house.
The Pakistani officials misbehaved with aged mother of Ms Qambrani and children of her neighbors. The personnel of intelligence agencies have also threatened to kill her and her children.
Ms. Naushin Qambarani is the daughter of Baloch writer, intellectual and poet Mr. Nadir Qambarani who returned the Presidential Award in protest against the atrocities being committed against Baloch people during Musharraf regime.
It should be noted that she has repeatedly harassed by the forces as well as the government before because of her initiatives and other social works for the good of Baloch people.
In 2008 the Pakistani government has conspired to frighten her and asked her to end her affiliation with an NGO named South Asian Partnership. The reason for these conspiracies, threats and attacks was her strong commitment and social works to benefit the Baloch masses.
Even then the Punjabis expressed their resentment against her when she begun an educational program for Baloch youth in the capital city of Punjab, Lahore. At Lahore, the Punjabi members of the NGO also mocked at her Balochi attire.
The members of the same NGO wrote a letter to Pakistani secret agencies that she is working as a commander of BLA (Baloch Liberation Army) and using the NGO resources to fund the BLA.
In response to that, the Pakistani agencies sent her a letter in which they stated: “We know that you have a little child, therefore, be a mother, not a revolutionary.”
Today’s attack by the Pakistani forces at her house is also being seen as a reprisal for her works done for the benefit and good of Baloch masses.
