BLF denies threating BBC Urdu Journalist Mr Ayub Tareen

A spokesperson of the Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) Spokesman, Bahram Baloch, has categorically rejected threatening any journalists in Balochistan.
Talking to BBC Urdu service Mr Baloch said “Throughout past 10 years of struggle for liberation, we have never threatened or harmed any journalist.” He further said that the Baloch Liberation Front respects freedom of speech; Journalists are free to report whatever they want.
He also denied threatening BBC Urdu Service Quetta correspondent Mr Ayub Tareen and said that his Organisation condemn such threats to journalists in line of duty.
Bahram Baloch however, suggested to BBC Urdu to employ more journalists in other areas of Balochistan so that they can report objectively instead of relying on FC’s propaganda.
Shafi Naqi Jamie a senior correspondent of BBC Urdu, In reply to Mr Baloch, said that BBC Urdu service has covered Balochistan issue more than any other media outlets in Pakistan. He assured the BLF spokesperson that his suggestions will be taken into account and discussed.
Previously, News Network International (NNI) reported that the Baloch Liberation Front had complained about BBC Urdu reporter Ayub Tareen's "insufficient" coverage of Balochistan news and had threatened him of "strict actions".
Baloch resistance Organisations, fighting for independence of Balochistan, have always maintained that they are fighting within the parameters of international law and have greatest respect for impartial journalism and media persons in Balochistan.
