Balochistan: abductions of Baloch activists continues

The abductions of Baloch activists by Pakistani security forces continue unabated as security forces have raided the houses of a Baloch government employee in Quetta here on Sunday morning.
According to details a convoy of thirteen vehicles of Pakistani security forces raided the house of Saeed Ali S/O Asadullah Bugti on Saryab Raod, Quetta in the wee hours on Sunday. The security officials have been accused of violating the sanctity of the house and harassing women and children during the raid.
The Pakistani officials also fired live rounds which seriously wounded Mr Bugti, who has now been hospitalized. According to inhabits of the house security forces looted valuables and cash. Mr Bugti’s officials bodyguards have also reportedly been subjected to brutal torture on the spot and their licensed weapons were seized.
Sources reported that Saeed Bugti is a government official and has no affiliation with any political parties. His only crime is that he is a Bugti Baloch.
Meanwhile another man named Kashmir Bugti has been arrested from Tota Kaloni area of Sui, Balochistan. The family and friends of Mr Kashmir Bugti fear that if immediate measures are not taken for his release, he will be tortured and might be killed and dumped like hundreds of other Baloch activists in Balochistan.
Separately, on 4 August Haydar Baloch a resident of Kulanch was abducted from his shop at Belaar road, Kulanch, district Gwadar in Balochistan.
On Friday03-Aug-2012, Moor Bugti and 80 year old Ghulam Mohammad Bugti the father of a previously abducted man Abdo Bugti were abducted from Sui Dera Bugti. Whereas another two Bugti Baloch named Elahi Bux Bugti & Gulso Bugti were abducted on Thursday 2nd August 2012 from the same area.
Meanwhile the protest of the families of abducted Baloch outside Quetta Press Club has entered 863rd day. The families of forced-disappeared Baloch have been protesting under the banner of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons which is adamant to continue their protest until the release of all abducted Baloch and arrest of the perpetrators involved in abductions and extra judicial killings of Baloch activists in Balochistan.
