Balochistan wide strike to mark Nawab Bugti’s sixth Martyrdom anniversary

A shutter down and wheel jam strike will be observed across Balochsitan on the sixth martyrdom anniversary of Nawab Akbar Bugti on Sunday.
The BRP (Baloch Republican Party) had given the call for strike which has been endorsed by several other Baloch parties including the Baloch National Front, the Baloch National Voice, Balochistan traders’ organizations and others.
The veteran Baloch leader was killed along with several companions in a military operation in the mountain of Bhambor near Kahan region of Balochistan on August 26, 2006. The then Pakistan's self-appointed president and military dictator, Musharraf, had order the military operation and killing of Nawab Bugti.
Memorial reference will be held in many regions of Balochistan to pay tributes to the Nawab Akbar Bugti. A reference gathering will also be held in London on 26 August .
Meanwhile expressing is dissatisfaction over Pakistani rulers’ intentions about arresting the killers of Nawab Bugti, his son Mr Jameel Bugti said that the representatives occupying the parliament were “corrupt and incompetent”.
He demanded that his father’s dead body be handed over to him, so that they could bury him according to their customs. He also demanded an impartial inquiry under the United Nations and other international organizations to ascertain the real cause of Bugti’s death. He also urged Baloch people to support the strike on Bugti’s martyrdom anniversary, which falls on August 26.
