
Railway track and gas pipeline blown up in Quetta

| Unknown persons blew up one-and-a half-foot portion of the railway track and gas pipeline on Saturday in Quetta, the Capital city of Balochistan.
Sources said that the unidentified persons attached an explosive device to Quetta-Sibi railway track in Sariab area and detonated it with a remote control.
Resultantly, a one-and-a-half-foot portion of the railway track was damaged. The explosion halted and delayed railway traffic on the track. However no loss of life has been reported.
Meanwhile, the Dawn News said militants also blew up a gas pipeline near Quetta's Western Bypass Sunday. According to details unknown persons had fitted an explosive device on the gas pipeline which blew up with a huge explosion. A one-foot piece of the pipeline was totally destroyed as a result of the explosion, suspending the supply of gas to various areas.
No groups have immediately claimed responsibility for blowing up the railway track and the gas pipeline. How in the past Baloch resistance organisation, struggling for the freedom of Balochistan, have carried out similar attacks.
