| The Baloch National Front (BNF) has strongly condemned the Pakistani security forces for raiding a Masjid and houses of innocent people in Kharan, Balochistan.
According to details Pakistan’s FC and other security forces raided a Masjid (Masque) and arrested several worshipers in Kharan town of Balochistan. The security agencies have also raided the house of Doctor Shahnawaz and arrested him along with his four sons and two cousins. The victims have been named as Habib Shah, Naveed Shah, Arsalan Shah, Azlan shah and Farad Shah and his brother. Their whereabouts remained unknown until the filing of this report.
The BNF spokesperson further said that the Pakistani forces also raided the house of Sheikh Saghir, a friend of Shaheed Nasir Dagarzahi, and abducted his brother in-law and brother. Their names could not be ascertained immediately.
Separately, another youth Samad Baloch along with several other Baloch activists has also been arrested and taken to unknown location.
Balochi language radio Gwank from Sweden reported that at least one hundred people have been arrested from Kharan and surrounding areas since the night of 14 August 2012. Strongly condemning the offensives in Kaharan the BNF said such state barbarisms are a big question mark for the International Human Rights Organisation. “Mass arrests in Kharan by occupying state are indication of intensifying the military operation in Balochistan. The civilised world must take notice of state ‘terrorism’”, said the BNF.
On the other hand central spokesperson of the BRP (Baloch Republican Party) said that Pakistani forces broke into many houses and violated the privacy of households, tortured and harassed women and children and arrested at least seventy people from different areas of Dera Bugti.
He further said that the Baloch Republican Party’s Organiser of Ostah Mohammad town Jalam Bugti was abducted along with his nephew from Rojhan Jamali, Jaffarabad.
Sher Mohammad Bugti, the BRP spokesperson, charged that brutal actions of state forces were not only limited to Dera Bugti but extended to all parts of Balochistan including Jaffarabad, Naseerabad, Quetta, Sibbi, Bolan and others.
