Another Baloch teacher abducted from Panjgur as protests continue against assassination of Zahid Baloch
GWADAR: Hundreds of students, teachers and members of civil society took to streets and held protest rallies against targeted killing of principle of ‘The OASIS School’ in Gwadar on Sunday.
On Thursday miscreants have gunned down Zahid Askani Baloch in Gwadar while he was driving to his school. Because of indiscriminate firing he died on the spot.
The protesters were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans against murder of Zahid Baloch and demands for the immediate arrest of Zahid Baloch’s murderers.
The protesters before marching through different areas of Gwadar gathered at Gwadar Press Club where teachers and students of OASIS school addressed the gathering and reiterate that the mission of Zahid Baloch to educate Baloch youth will continue at all costs.
They said that the killers of Zahid Baloch must know that Sir Zahid Baloch has prepared thousands of other Zahids who will carry on his mission and ‘The OASIS School’ will not be intimidated by such gruesome killings and threats.
They said: “Sir Zahid Askani Baloch was a very kind person who loved education and spent his life in service of humanity. His philosophy was to promote education and peace. Zahid had no enmity with anyone his only fault was that he was educating Baloch children in Gwadar.”
Protesters also strongly criticised Dr Malik Baloch and his government for failing to protect schools and teachers in Balochistan.
The protesters demanded for immediate arrest of Zahid Baloch’s killers, protection for all schools in Gwadar and in Balochistan. They also demanded that the road where Zahid Baloch was murdered should be named after him.
Meanwhile unknown motorcyclists have abducted another school teacher named Zareef Baloch from a shop in Panjgur Balochistan.
Sources reported that unknown men riding on motorcycles barged into a shop in Khodabadan area of Panjgur and abducted teacher Zareef Baloch son of Wali Mohammad Baloch at gunpoint from on Sunday evening.
The whereabouts of Mr Baloch remained unknown until the filing of this report.
