Baloch Liberation Army accepts responsibility for killing 10 Pakistani soldiers
Baloch freedom fighters attacked a check post of Pakistan paramilitary troops in Mekhter area of Loralai on Monday killing at least 10 soldiers and injuring scores of others.
A military spokesperson confirming the incident said that around 40 militants attacked the FC check post in Mehkter area of district Loralai which is situated some 250 kilometres in the northeast of Quetta, the capital city of Balochistan.
Meanwhile Mirak Baloch a spokesperson of the Baloch Liberation Army informed different media outlets that freedom fighters from his Organisation have surrounded and attacked an FC check post in the early hours of Monday morning.
He said that at least 10 FC soldiers were killed and five injured during the attack. “Our fighters have also attacked a reinforcement convoy of the FC and inflicted heavy losses on them,” said Mr Baloch.
Mirak Baloch rejected the claims of Pakistani media that some Baloch fighters were injured in FC’s retaliation, adding that, “all of our fighters are safe and we will continue to fight until the last breath.”
The spokesperson of BLA said that Pakistani forces have started aerial attacks against civilian population in the area, he said it is feared that several people including women and children were killed.
He also warned the local collaborators of the state forces to stop cooperating in loot and plunder of Balochistan’s national resources.
He said, “Some local notables in collaboration with occupying state forces are planning to start excavation some new coal mines in the area. Our organisation have already warned them to stop being partner in pillage of Baloch national resources otherwise they will be targeted.”
Mirak Baloch said that fighters from his organisation collected the names of all those collaborators who are involved in exploitation of Chamalang coal field. “If they do not withdraw their support to Pakistani forces then they will also not be spared.”
He said those who are taking advantage of the situation, they cannot escape the national accountability process in any case and that his organisation was working to hold them accountable when the situations are appropriate.
