Baloch activists to start Anti-Nuclear weapons awareness campaign against Pakistan
Pro-freedom Baloch activists including Baloch national leader Hyrbyair Marri have announced to start an ‘Anti-Nuclear awareness campaign from 19 April till 28 May, 2015. Baloch nation has been observing 28 May as a ‘Black Day’ since 1998 when Pakistan tested its nuclear bombs in Chaghai Mountains in Balochistan.
The first event in this series of protests against Pakistan’s nuclear tests and Human Rights violations in Balochistan will be held in Germany on 19 April where pro-freedom Baloch activists will organise a protest and distribute leaflets to highlight the Pakistani military aggression against Baloch people. They will also request different human rights organisations and anti-nuclear activists to join their protest on 28 May.
Other events are as follows: on 1st May 2015 an event will be held in Sweden, on 12 May in Canada, and on 17 May in London.
On 28 of May there will be simultaneous protests in different districts of Balochistan and abroad in Germany, Norway, Sweden, Canada and London.
During the series of protests there will also be an online campaign using hashtag: #NoToPakistaniNukes and #28MayBlackDay to highlight the effects of Pakistani nuclear blasts in Balochistan.
The Baloch National leader Hyrbyair Marri has called all Baloch and all pro-nuclear proliferation activists around the world to join Baloch Anti-nuclear Weapon Campaign in Balochistan and abroad. Baloch nation rejected any attempt of using their homeland for any type of weapon of mass destruction.
This campaign is against weapons of mass destruction and the ongoing military operations and human rights violations all over Balochistan.
We demand (A) – an immediate halt to all Pakistani nuclear activities in our homeland.
(B) – To allow independent scientists, international organisations and media to study and assess the harmful impacts of Pakistan nuclear tests in Balochistan.
(C) To stop military operation and to remove completely all nuclear weapons, facilities and wastes under supervision of the UN authority from Balochistan.
(D) – We want the democratic world including all human rights organisations and the UN nations to send an independent fact finding team to Balochistan to find out about the fate of state enforced disappeared persons, the kill and dump victims and the victims of mass graves which were discovered during the last two years in Balochistan.
