Balochistan: Two youth killed and a woman injured in Pakistani forces firing in Mashkay
Pakistani forces attacked a Baloch residential area in Esped-Koh in Mashkay region of Balochistan on Tuesday killing at least two youth and injuring a woman.
According to details forces surrounded the house of late Rahmat Baloch and opened indiscriminate firing. Resultantly late Rahmat Baloch’s young son Mehraaj Baloch and another 10 year old youth, Zameer son of Allah Bakhsh were killed on the spot.
A woman named by Baloch media sources as Bibi Noor Malik has been seriously wounded due to indiscriminate firing.
The Pakistani forces also reportedly set several houses on fire and abducted several people including 50 year old Shera son of Eid Mohammad.
On Monday a member of Balochistan Assembly from the ruling National Party has admitted that ‘Pakistan Law Enforcement Agencies’ were involved in killing innocent people.
Pakistan’s widely read Dawn.com reported that speaking in the National Assembly on Monday, Sardar Kamal Khan Bangulzai of the National Party said: “If security agencies didn’t mend their ways, I am afraid they will face more robust resistance from militants in coming days” because near and dear ones of innocent victims were left with no option but to take up arms.
He said Baloch people, including public servants, were picked up by agencies and their bodies were found within 24 hours. The MNA alleged three brothers were taken away from his home district of Mastung a few days ago and two of them were killed during investigation. “Even if they were involved in a crime, didn’t they deserve a fair trial?”
Baloch media sources and social activists reported that more than 30 people have been killed during Pakistan’s military operations in Kalat and its adjoining area in a four-day military offensive against innocent people. The victims of the unprovoked operations were unarmed civilian.
On Monday a spokesperson of the Baloch Liberation Army, Meerak Baloch, claimed in a statement that of Baloch fighters thwarted an attempt of Pakistani forces to capture their camp in Shahrag area of Balochistan.
He appeal the local Baloch population to be vigilant and take possible necessary steps to defend their home and families against unprovoked attacks of Pakistani forces.
Meanwhile, the Baloch ‘pro-freedom’ parties and student organisations announced separate protests against Pakistan’s collective punishment of Baloch people across Balochistan.
