Pakistan Military Offensives: Punjabi Army Will Not Succeed in Balochistan
Balochistan: Residents of Sohri Darbaar rubbish claims of Pakistani media and Sarfaraz Bugti
The residents of Sohri Darbaar on Tuesday have rejected the claim of Pakistani minister Sarfaraz Bugti and Pakistani media about clashes between Baloch armed groups and killing of several people.
“No such incident took place in Kahan and surrounding areas which was a told to media by provincial minister Sarfaraz Bugti,” read the statement adding that “we would like to make it clear that in our area apart from the government forces, Baloch do not face any danger from fellow Baloch organisations. Killing livestock, burning crops and attacking civilian population has become the regular practice of Pakistan forces in the region.”
They said the minister lied to media yesterday. They said they were concerned that Pakistani forces are planning fresh military operations in the area and they will use such statements as an excuse to justify their actions.
According to statement of the resident of Sohri Darbaar, as usual the Pakistani forces will kill the previously abducted Baloch in their custody and dump their bodies terming it a clash between armed ‘tribal militants’. “They [Pakistan forces] also want to disappoint Baloch people by spreading such rumours and lies.”
The statement read, “We deem it necessary to point out that there are even no small crims in Kahan and surrounding areas hence making such big claims about large numbers of killings is to pave way for military operation in the region.”
Meanwhile Balochistan based Daily Tawar reported that Pakistan forces are planning a grand military operation in Dera Bugti and Kohlu regions of Balochistan.
The newspaper claimed that Pakistan military has finalised its preparations for an operation and the ground troops will be supported by Air Force to attack Baloch populations in above mentioned regions.
