Balochistan: 17 Zikiri Baloch abducted from Pasni, spiritual leader kidnapped from Gawadar

BW News Web desk: The spiritual leader of the Zikri community, Syed Zafar Noori, was kidnapped by armed men in the coastal town of Pasni on Sunday evening.

Mr Zafar Noori is the nephew of Syed Essa Noori, MNA and a key leader of the Balochistan National Party-Mengal.

According to family sources, a group of men came to his residence in Pasni and took him away at gunpoint.

Police confirmed the kidnapping but said it was yet to be ascertained who could be involved in it.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the kidnapping or contacted his family for ransom.

Social media activists on twitter, however, reported that at least 17 Zikiri Baloch have been abducted by Sardar Aziz, a local collaborator of Pakistan army, and the FC from from Pasni Balochistan.

Pakistani security forces have been conducting constant raid in Pasni from past three days and have already abducted more than twenty people from the region.

Meanwhile Pakistan Frontier Corps (FC) personnel have arrested two people from Peer Koh area of Dera Bugti Balochistan.

The identity of the abducted men could not be confirmed so far but both men have been taken to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
