QUETTA – The occupying Pakistani forces have started a new wave of military operations in different areas of Sewi (Sibbi) Balochistan including Jaladi, Sangan and Sanjawal in the early hours Wednesday morning.
Meanwhile a spokesperson of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), Mr Meerak Baloch, informed media sources that a convoy of 50 military vehicles escorted by of seven gunship helicopters have moved toward Jaladi, Saangaan and Sanjawal from the military garrison in Sibbi. “Seven helicopters continued shelling on these areas for several hours damaging many houses and killing numerous livestock,” Mr Meerak inform NNI via satellite phone from an undisclosed location.
He said that occupying forces backed by gunship helicopter set alight several houses, seven tractors and several motorcycles of the poor peasants. The Pakistani forces also subjected the local people to inhuman torture and harassment in an act of collective punishment.
“In Sangan the occupying forces snatched two tractors of peasants and took away the livestock and wheat bags loaded on tractors. They also set on fire 400 sacks of wheat grains. Pakistan forces have been targeting Balochistan’s civil populations time and time against which continues to this day across Balochistan,” the BLA spokesperson reported.
Mr Meerak said that several youth have also been abducted by Pakistani forces during this unwarranted military operation and taken to unknown places where they’re feared to be subjected to inhuman tortures to death like thousands of other Baloch activists across Balochistan.
Meanwhile, in coastal city of Gwadar, six persons have been abducted by army during search operation. The family members expressed concerned over police refusal to register the case against Pakistani army for the abduction of their loved ones.
Currently, as we compile this report, almost all civil populations of Balochistan are going through severe military operations with no international media access to the affected areas.
It is worth mentioning here that in 1999 Pakistani dictator general Musharraf declared a war against Baloch people as soon as he grabbed power through a military coups. The pro-liberation Baloch activists started resisting the military aggression against Baloch people and pillage of their villages by Pakistani armed forces. The international media and human rights organisations has ignored the plight of Baloch people by Pakistan.
It isn’t the case that Baloch leadership didn’t explore the democratic avenues to peacefully achieve their rights but the Pakistani forces accesses in Balochistan has left no other option for the Baloch people but to resist in self-defense.
