Balochistan: Four Baloch Citizens, Including a Woman, Arrested in Iranian Military Raid in Taftan
Balochistan: Pakistani forces destroyed several houses in Mand
KECH: At least eight people were wounded when a rocket hit a house in in district Kech area of Balochistan.
The Pakistan media claimed that Baloch fighters fired two rockets on Customs House in Mand, one of shells hit the gate of Custom House while the other landed on a house in the residential area.
However, the local resident from the areas reported that Pakistan forces suffered a panic attack after a transformer exploded in the area due to technical faults.
“The Pakistan camp situated in Soro Bazar in Mand thought their camp is under attack so in a panic they started shelling mortar bombs and firing on the civil population.
“One of the shells landed on a house partially damaging it and resulting in injuries to eight people,” said the local residents on conditions of anonymity.
The injured people include five women and three children in a family compound of houses of Rashid Ibrahim in Shaban Bazaar of Soro, Mand town.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Paramilitary Frontier Crops (FC) laid a siege and attacked the houses of Shaheed Ghulam Mohammad Baloch and his relatives and set many houses on fire.
Pakistan forces also harassed and threatened the family members and relatives of the late Baloch leader.
Media sources quoted an exile relative of late BNM leader, Ghulam Mohammad Baloch, that Pakistan forces warned the inhabitants of houses that next time they would be burn alive, they continue to support the Baloch freedom movement.
Pakistani forces reportedly used a special chemical substance to burn the houses which quickly turn full built houses to a heap of ashes.
Late Ghulam Mohammad Baloch was the chairman of Baloch National Movement and one of the dedicated pro-freedom leaders in Balochistan. He also played an important role to form the Baloch National Front a unity of different Baloch political parties.
Shaheed Ghulam Mohammad Baloch was a member of ‘Baloch Qaumdost Committee’ formed by Baloch pro-freedom leader Hyrbyair Marri to negotiate, via media, the safe release of American head of UNHCR John Solecki who was seized from Quetta by Baloch militants.
However, after the release of U.N. official John Solecki, Ghulam Mohammad Baloch along with two other Baloch leaders Mr Sher Mohammad Baloch and Lala Munir Baloch was abducted from his lawyers’ office on 3rd of April, 2009 and a week later the mutilated dead bodies of all three men were found in Murgaab area of Turbat.
Even though the US embassy in Islamabad condemned while the United Nations expressed “serious concern” over the murder of Ghulam Mohammad Baloch and his friends but they failed to peruse the case of the assassination of Baloch leaders and put pressure on Pakistan to bring the killers to justice under supervision of UN.
