Balochistan: Six Pakistani soldiers killed in Bolan, BLA accepted responsibility for attack
QUETTA: At least six Pakistani para-military troops personnel were killed and two others critically wounded in a roadside bomb blast in Balochistan on Monday.
A landmine was planted on the roadside in Margat area of Bolan Balochistan which was detonated when the two vehicles of Pakistani forces were passing by.
A Pakistani security official informed local media sources, “The attack killed five men and two others were injured,” adding that the vehicle of security forces was also damaged in the remote control explosion.
The injured soldiers have been shifted to Quetta for treatment where their condition have reportedly remained critical.
Meanwhile the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) Spokesman ‘Meerak Baloch’ from an undisclosed location informed media outlets that Baloch freedom fighters of BLA have targeted the Pakistani forces in Margat area with a remote controlled bomb device followed by an attack with automatic weapons.
“As a result of this attack eight personnel of Pakistani forces were killed and five others were wounded while two vehicles of Pakistani forces were also destroyed,” Mr Baloch claimed in his statement.
He warned that the BLA would continue such attacks against Pakistani forces till freedom of Baloch land and complete withdrawal of Pakistani occupying forces from Balochistan.
Balochistan has been in grip of intense fight between Pakistan forces who are regarded as ‘occupying forces’ and the Baloch Sarmachaars ‘freedom fighters’ since the ongoing phase of Baloch liberation struggle begun in year 2000.
Hundreds of people have been killed from both sides in the long tuning conflict.
The Baloch pro-liberation forces and human rights organisation say that Pakistani forces are involved in slow-motion genocide of Baloch people and all the door of peaceful political struggle have been closed for the Baloch people.
The pro-liberation groups also say that Pakistan security forces have abducted and disappeared more than 20,000 Baloch activists belonging from different spheres of life and executed more than 6,000 of the abducted people in cold blood.
Exiled Baloch political leaders advocating for Baloch freedom have time and again urged the United Nation and the International Community to intervene and play their role in ending Baloch genocide by Pakistan.
However, so far neither the UN nor any other International body has taken any concrete steps to stop Pakistan state atrocities and resolve Balochistan issue peacefully.
