Balochistan: Son of prominent Baloch poet shot dead in Konshkalat
TUMP: – Unknown assailants shot dead the 27-year-old son of Balochi language poet and writer Mr Bashir Bedar on Thursday evening in Konshkalat area of Tump Balochistan.
Local sources reported that Fazul Bashir was returning home after offering his Asha (evening) prayers at the local Masjid when armed men intercepted him near his home and asked him to go with them.
Upon refusing to go with the armed men, the assailants opened indiscriminate firing at him and killed him on the spot.
His father Mr Bashir Bedar told a Balochi language TV channel that his son Fazul was sprayed with eight bullets on his body. “one bullet pierced his skull through the left ear.”
The attackers fled the crime scene on motorcycles.
Mr Bedar in his statement to media said that he has no clue about the killers of his son as he and his family had no personal enmity with anyone nor are they affiliated with any political organisation.
“We don’t work for the government either. I’m just a humble writer of Balochi language,” Mr Bedar told the Balochi TV channel.
