Balochistan: Unabated Protests Against Enforced Disappearances Continue
Balochistan: Bullet-ridden dead bodies of six Baloch found in two days, another four abducted
TUBAT/KAHAN: On the early hours of 2nd March, 2016 three bullet-riddled bodies were brought to Turbat Civil Hospital. The Pakistani forces claimed to have killed the three men in a ‘gun battle’.
Local sources, however, rejected the claims of Pakistani forces and said that the victims were among thousands of enforced-disappeared Baloch who have been abducted previously.
The identity of two of the dead bodies was ascertained as that of Sanaullah Baloch and Pathan Marri.
The BRP (Baloch Republican Party) claimed that, 15-year-old Sanaullah Baloch was a member of their party and was abducted six months ago, on 22 Sept 2015 from Gwadar city of Balochistan.
According to social media report Pathan Marri was abducted on 27 February 2016 whereas the identity of the third man could not be ascertained until the filing of this report.
Meanwhile, three mutilated dead bodies were found in Kahan region of Balochistan on Wednesday but their identity could not be ascertained immediately.
It is worth mentioning that Pakistani forces backed by gunship helicopters had launched military offensive and a house-to-house search operation in Kahan on Tuesday (1st March, 2016) which still continues and many areas including Saart Aaf, Jannatali and other regions remain under military siege.
Balochistan local media reported that helicopters were seen bombing the straw made shelter of nomads, many houses were also reportedly set on fire by ground forces.
No immediate casualties were reported. The local sources say that as the affected areas are still sealed by the military that’s it impossible to have access to region and confirm the exact number of casualties or damage to property.
Pakistani forces also abducted three people from Dera Bugti Bazar on Wednesday. The spokesperson of Paramilitary FC (Frontier Corps) admitted that forces have arrested three ‘suspected’ persons.
The FC, however, did not release more details about the victims and shifted them to secret detention facilities as thousands of previously abducted Baloch.
In a separate but similar action the Pakistan force abducted a Baloch Doctor from Hoshaab area of Balochistan on Wednesday.
According to details Pakistan FC abducted Dr Waleed son of Gull from a government hospital in Hoshaab region of Turbat Balochistan.
The Dr Waleed’s whereabouts remain unknown until filing of this report.
Baloch human rights organisations and pro-freedom political parties say that it has become a regular practice of Pakistani forces in Balochistan to abducted, torture and kill previously abducted Baloch activists in their custody and later dump their dead bodies during military attacking to claim that they were killed in encounters with forces.
