Balochistan: VBMP strongly condemns abduction of comrade Wahid Baloch, several more abducted
QUETTA: The Voice for Baloch Missing Persons said that abduction and disappearance of comrade Wahid Baloch by state security agencies is equivalent to restricting the of the freedom of expression.
The VBMP, a representative organisation of families of Baloch enforced-disappeared persons, said that comrade is a peaceful political activist. “Apart from serving Balochi language and literature he was always at forefront of peaceful demonstrations against human rights violations.”
The VBMP in its statement strongly condemned the arrest and disappearance of Wahid Baloch and asked for his immediate and safe release.
“The organisation has sent a request to the Supreme Court Registrar for the recovery of Wahid Baloch. We have also sent a formal request to the UN Working Group against Enforced and Involuntary Disappearance,” said the VBMP adding that they sympathise with the family of Wahid Baloch and assure them that they will raise the issue of comrade Wahid’s abduction at every forum.
Earlier on 29 July, 2016, the Pakistani forces have attacked civilian areas in Dera Buti, Tump and Mashky regions of Balochistan and abducted several people.
According to details three men have been abducted from RD 238 area in district Dera Bugti Balochistan. The BRP sources named the victims as Wahab son of Shaho Bugti, Ayaz son of Shaho Bugti and Noora son of Mohammad Amin Bugti.
One day prior to these arrests the Pakistani forces had thrown leaflets in houses of common people in the region threating them to ‘meet an army colonel or face the consequences.’
Meanwhile, another three people including a teacher were abducted from district Kech Balochistan on Thursday 28, July.
According Daily Tawar, an Urdu daily from Balochistan, ‘armed men’ abducted Haji Gul Mohammad son of Usman and Zahid son of Murad from Gomazi are of Tump while a teacher, Noor Ahmad son of Khan Mohammad, has been abducted from Ghinna FC check post.
Mr Ahmad, a resident of Pullabad of Tump, was offloaded from a passenger bus at the security force check post after checking his NIC (National Identity Card) and whisked away.
He was reportedly abducted by Pakistani security officials in presence of several passengers and other eye-witnesses.
Two more people have been abducted from Kandi region of Mashkay whereas a man named Waseem was abducted from Gujjar Bazar. Mr Waseem is a resident of Liyakatabad.
