Balochistan: Pakistani army started fresh offensives in Bolan, house of Baloch activist attacked in Panjgur
QUETTA: The house of a Baloch activist and intellectual has been attacked in Punjagur on Friday evening whereas on Saturday morning Pakistan army resumed their offensives in Bolan Balochistan.
Pakistani forces and their local collaborators attacked house of Shabir Baloch, an exiled pro-freedom activist and writer, in Punjgur Balochistan to terrorise his family members.
Mr. Baloch is a writer and strong critic of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. In his recent article titled ‘China’s exploitative designs from South China to Baloch Ocean’ he urged the pro-freedom Baloch parties to unite and benefit from the changing world order to pave way in favour of Baloch freedom.
“During the attack, Pakistani forces have looted valuables, burned down books and beaten up women and children leaving injured the aged mother of Shabir Baloch,” a resident of the area told Balochwarna news.
Separately on Saturday Pakistani military resumed its attacks on local populations of district Bolan around 130 km South-East of Quetta.
Sources reported that ground troop backed by gunship helicopters attacked and carried out offensives in Shahrag’s Yakho, Kaman, Sanjawal regions.
A local journalist on condition of anonymity told Balochwarna news, “Several houses have been set on fire and it feared that many people have been killed due indiscriminate bombardment and several arrested by ground forces. There are reports of about death of large number of livestock due to bombardment,”
Pakistani forces have laid a siege around the exit and entrance routes of the affected areas and forces were still present in the region until filing this report.
