Balochistan: People of Daalbandin protest against Arab hunters
QUETTA: The residents including farmers and notables staged a protest in Daalbandin against the Arab Royal hunters in Balochistan.
People from Eli Nawad, Haqdar, Gadani and Loas in a joint press conference that the Arab Sheikhs who came to Balochistan for hunting, have been damaging crops and pasturelands of local nomads.
They said because of the Arab hunter the Houbara bustard are becoming extinct in the area.
“The so called local representatives are serving the Arabs and allowing them to hunt down rare birds in return of money only to destroy the future of us poor people,” the protester added.
They said, “We want to inform the Balochistan of government and the federal government that we will not allow the Arab to hunt in our area.”
The resident of Daalbandin said their farmlands and meadows are already in bad shape due to draught and now the Arab Royal hunters are making it worse which is intolerable.
Last week people of Sanni Shoran and Punjgur also strongly protest against hunting the rare Houbara bustard in Balochistan.
They complained that they Arab Sheikhs come in convoy of vehicle driving through standing crops and farmlands.
The Arab Royals from Saudi, UAE and Qatar usually visit Balochistan for their hunting adventures and disregard the protests of local people.
The pro-freedom Baloch resistance organisations have also warned the Arabs to stop destroying Balochistan’s wildlife.
