Balochistan: Baloch political prisoner beaten up by head of Ardebil prison security chief
ZAHEDAN: The head of security of Ardebil central prison has reportedly beaten up and critically wounded a Baloch political prisoner for writing an open letter to president Hassan Rohani.
Mohammad Saber Malek Raisi who is on the ninth day of his hunger strike has angered the security chief of Ardebil Prison when the later found out that Mr. Raisi wrote an open letter the Iranian president.
The youngest Baloch prisoner complained in his letter that a few days ago he was handcuffed, shackled and left outside his prison cell in freezing cold for 14 hours.
It is pertinent to mention that Mohammad Saber Malek Raisi was arrested at age 17 and was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
He is serving the 8th year of his 15-year prison sentence in Ardebil prison outside Balochistan.
Despite deteriorating health and continuous hunger strike for 9 days, he has not been transferred to the hospital for treatment.
