Balochistan: Protests Intensify Over Enforced Disappearances as Families Demand Justice
Balochistan: Pakistani forces attacked in different areas, several soldiers killed and wounded
QUETTA: At least five Pakistani soldiers were killed and one Baloch fighter embraced martyrdom in different areas of Balochistan on Wednesday.
A fierce battle irrupted between the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) fighters and Pakistan forces in Bijjar Wadh area of Kahan when hundreds of Pakistani paramilitary troops back by gunship helicopters attacked the Baloch fighters.
At least one Baloch fighter lost his life and two Pakistani soldiers were killed in the battle of Kahan.
The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) spokesperson, Jeeand Baloch, told media that, “Two Pakistani soldiers were killed and several wounded while one of our friends Ratta Marri aka Mazar Mohammad also embraced martyrdom.”
He said initially Ratta Marri was critically wounded but he later succumbed to his injuries.
Paying tributes to Ratta Marri the BLA spokesperson said, “He was affiliated with the organisation from past five years and was one of the active fighters in Kohistan Marri region,” adding that his service to Baloch nation will always be remembered.
KECH: In a separate attack an FC (Frontier Corps) soldier was killed in Hoshap area of Kech district in Balochistan when Baloch fighters ambushed a convoy of Pakistani forces.
The killed FC soldier has been named as Rehmat Aziz from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) spokesperson, Gwahram Baloch, informed media that BLF has attacked a convoy of Pakistani forces in between Kros Tank and Kalero area of Dasht in district Kech Balochistan on Wednesday.
He said one vehicle in the convoy was completely destroyed and all person on board were either killed or injured in the remote-controlled blast.
Gwahram Baloch also said that they have attacked a check post of Pakistani security personnel on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route at Aasang Kandag in Balgtar area of Balochistan.
“Two soldiers were killed in this attack,” Baloch claimed, adding that the soldiers were shot dead when they were going toward the check post.
GWADAR: At least three people were injured when an explosive-laden motorbike in front of Raziq Plaza at airport Road Gwadar exploded.
“A time-device was planted inside the bike and up to 3 to 4kg explosive material were used in the blast,” DIG Gwadar Police Nadeem Ahmed told media.
At least 8 shops and a vehicle were damaged in the powerful blast.
The wounded people hailing from Lahore, Hyderabad, and Gwadar were being treated in DHQ Hospital Gwadar, they were said to be out of danger.
The Baloch Republican Army (BRA) claimed responsibility for the blast and said it would carry out more such attacks.
The organisation’s spokesperson, Sarbaz Baloch, issued a statement to media saying that they targeted the City Estate and offices of other estate agencies.
He also warned China to stop becoming Pakistan’s partner in Baloch genocide and in looting the Baloch natural resources against the will of the Baloch nation.
