Abduction of Baloch women and children continuation of Pakistan’s policy of disappearances in Balochistan: Hyrbyair Marri
LONDON: Pro-freedom Baloch leader and head of Free Balochistan Movement, Hyrbyair Marri, said in a statement on Wednesday, that Pakistani intelligence agencies were violating Islamic principles, for their own evil interests and for expansion of their religious extremist ideology in the world.
“Similarly, China who claims to value socialist principles is deviating from the basic rules of socialism for the sake of its economic interests and expansionist designs in the world.
Hyrbyair Marri said that Pakistan was created in the name of Islam to serve the interests of imperialist powers under the leadership of Jinnah, and today Pakistan has become a cancer for the entire world. The Pakistani military establishment and rulers are using Islam to achieve their own petty interest, and they are providing safe sanctuaries to religious terrorists including Taliban and other groups that are a threat to world peace.
He said, in the past few months there have been reports that Pakistan’s army and intelligence have offered a political platform to the Jihadist group, Jamaat-ud-Dawa headed by internationally declared terrorist Hafiz Saeed. Through such organisations, the army wants to protect the Islamic clauses in Pakistan’s constitution which were added during Zia’s era. This is also a ploy to deceive America and rest of the world.
Hyrbyair Marri said that Pakistan military establishment and the religious organisation are mum over China’s brutalities against Uyghur Muslims. They ignore the destruction of Muslim prayer places, forcibly stopping them to offer their prayers and reciting the holy Quran – which is an expression of Pakistan’s double standard.
He said, “On one hand, the Chinese rulers oppress Muslims of the Xinjiang provinces, and on the other hand, they veto the Indian resolution at UN to declare the Jaish-e-Mohammad as a terrorist organisation and its leader Maulana Masood Azhar as a terrorist.”
Mr Marri said that Socialist China was founded under Mao Tse-Tung’s leadership in 1949 but after 1979, China overlooked the main principles of socialism and adopted the idea of capitalism and expansionism. And today, through the ‘One Belt, One Road’ project, China is striving to become the economic centre of Asia, Europe and Africa. China is setting up ports and shuttle networks on Maritime Silk Road in Africa and Europe and planning to connect its Southern Coast with the Central Asia, East Africa and the Mediterranean. Gwadar port is also a part of this Maritime Silk Road which is a clear illustration of the double standard of Chinese Socialism.
The Baloch leader termed Saudi Arabia’s efforts to return toward moderate Islam as a positive step in the right direction. He said a large number of Baloch people live in the Gulf States and these countries have historic relations with Baloch people. The occupiers have divided them [Arab nation] into many countries despite being one nation.
That is why, he said, the Gulf countries should play their role in morally and diplomatically supporting the Baloch struggle in Iranian and Pakistani occupied Balochistan. Pakistan, Iran and China in the cloak of Islam and socialism are promoting their colonial ambitions. “The socialism was introduced to counter exploitation, but as far as socialism in China is concerned, it is only for power and governance. Economically China is an imperialist country.”
China is using socialism to maintain its expansionist and occupational designs in the region and using it [socialism] internationally for exploitation from Latin American to Africa and Asia either directly or indirectly. Similarly, Pakistan despite claiming to be an Islamic country has forcibly occupied the Baloch and other nations lands.
Hyrbyair Marri said both countries [China and Pakistan] are trying to annihilate the Baloch nation to strengthen their grip on the Baloch soil. He said the recent abduction of Baloch women and children from different areas of Balochistan is part of Pakistan’s ongoing campaign of enforced-disappearances against the Baloch nation.
Pakistani intelligence agencies are afraid of Baloch liberation struggle and have now also started abducting Baloch children. They fear that these children will grow up to resist China-Pakistan brutalities in Balochistan.
He said that China is working on CPEC project in a nexus with Pakistan, which will start in Kashgar China and end in Balochistan’s Gwadar port and it is connected with Maritime Silk Road. “China, like East India Company, wants to take over Baloch land and Pakistan for the interests Punjab is giving Baloch land to China, without the consultation of the Baloch nation which unacceptable for Baloch people. Pakistan in nexus with China is also committing gross human rights violations against the Baloch nation.”
