Balochistan: More Baloch women and kids abducted as military offensives continue in Awaran

QUETTA: Pakistani security forces have abducted a Baloch woman along with her daughter, her nephew and niece in Raghai are of district Washuk Balochistan on Friday.

According to details, Pakistani forces have abducted a Baloch woman Sher Khatoon Baloch along with her daughter, 3-year-old nephew Beebarg and six-months-old niece Mahen from Peezg area in Raghai Balochistan.

Earlier Pakistan forces had abducted another thirty-five people including women, children and a disabled man from the same region last week and later shifted them to a military camp in Mashkay.

Two of the abducted women are sisters of Allah Nazar Baloch the head of Baloch Liberation Front (BLF). The sisters have been named as Noor Khatoon and Sher Khatoon who are now being held in Mashkay military camp along with many other women and children.

Among them is also another Baloch woman Hawa Bibi along with her 2-year-old daughter Raaji and another 16-year-old girl.

Allah Nazar Baloch confirmed the abduction of his two sisters on twitter and he also appealed Amnesty International and UN to take notice of Pakistan’s war crimes in Balochistan.

Last week local sources reported that Pakistan forces killed at least eight people including a 16-year-old Baloch girl and a woman. There is a complete media blockade in the region due which the exact situation and the exact number of abducted or casualties have not been ascertained.

According to a report by BBC New the journalists in Balochistan are caught between the ‘the stick and the gun’ with most journalists complaining that Pakistan military has ordered them not report about the activities of Baloch ‘militants’.

Meanwhile, Pakistani forces also carried out offensive in Kharan Balochistan and abducted at least three people. One of the abducted men has been named as Barkat son of Haji Wafa a resident of Jodan region of Kharan but identity of the other two could not be ascertained so far.

All the abducted persons’ whereabouts remained unknown until the filing of this report.
