Balochistan: Pakistan Military Collaborator’s Hideout Attacked in Kharan
Hyrbyair Marri condemns terrorist attack on Church in Quetta
LONDON: The pro-freedom Baloch leader and head of Free Balochistan Movement, Hyrbyair Marri, has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a Methodist Church in Quetta on Sunday.
He said the terrorist attacks in the heavily militarised city of Quetta show the complicity of the Pakistani army and other security forces with religious hatemongers.
He said, “in a city where its inhabitants have to pass several Pakistani security force check posts, how is it possible that terrorists can so easily target places of worship?
“The Pakistani Army general Bajwa’s refusal take action against religious extremist protesters in Islamabad and terming them ‘our own people’ and later distributing envelopes of money to them for ending their protest was clear proof of military complicity with Jihadist terrorists.”
He said that whether it was the deadly attack on Balochistan’s lawyers or the Police training centre, the target was always Baloch and Pashtun educated people and the finest of our societies.
“The Punjabi army wants to deprive Balochistan of educated people and promote its Jihadist agenda in Balochistan.”
The leader of FBM said that the Baloch nation was historically and traditionally a secular and tolerant nation. “We have welcomed people from different faiths and backgrounds, but Pakistan’s military is now spoiling the basic fabric of our secularism and tolerance by promoting religious intolerance in Balochistan.”
“I strongly condemn Pakistan army’s effort of promoting radical religious hatred in Balochistan. I extend my condolences to the families of the victims of this terror attack,” Mr Marri said.
