Balochistan: NHA office and FC check post attacked in Kharan, BLA accepts responsibility
QUETTA: Unknown men attacked the National Highway Authority office and a check post of Frontier Corps (FC) in Kharan town of Balochistan on Saturday evening killing at least one FC soldiers and injuring several others.
Meanwhile, Azad Baloch, the spokesperson of Baloch Liberation Army – BLA – has accepted responsibility for the attack on NHA office and FC check post in Kharan.
The BLA spokesperson informed media sources that Baloch fighters attacked NHA office and FC check post near Sheikh Zaid hospital in Kharan city. ‘As a result of this attack one FC official was killed and several others were wounded.’
He said that the office was being used by engineers who work on exploitative CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) Project on link road and the FC have made their check post above the office.
Azad Baloch said, ‘We have warned local people to stay away from these [exploitative] projects and officials and do not rent their properties to them.’
He added, ‘Our organisation BLA accepts the responsibility for the attack on NHA office and FC check post in Kharan.’
He vowed that activities will continue until freedom of Balochistan.
