Balochistan: Seven Pakistani soldiers killed, three Baloch fighters martyred in Kahan
QUETTA: At least seven Pakistani troops have been killed and three Baloch fighters embraced martyrdom in a gun battle in Sohrod area of Kahan in district Kohlu Balochistan on Monday 3rd June.
According to details, the Pakistani army has attacked several houses of unarmed Baloch civilians and carried out a house-to-house search during their ongoing offensive in the region.
Among other houses, they also raided the house of a senior commander of the Baloch Liberation army where the Pakistani forces faced strong resistance.
The spokesperson of Baloch Liberation Army, Mr Azad Baloch, said, ‘The BLA commander Kaheeri Marri, his sons Najeeb and Tufail and his brother Mitha Khan Marri preferred to fight and defend their family instead of surrendering before the Pakistani army.’
Sources reported the fierce battle between Baloch fighters and Pakistani army continued for four hours. Hundreds of Pakistani forces indiscriminately used latest weapons, as a result, Kaheeri Marri along with his two sons was martyred while his brother Mitha Khan has been arrested in severely injured condition.
‘The women and children of the family have also been wounded in the gun battle and siege of Shaheed Kaheeri Marri is still in place,’ BLA spokesperson said.
At least seven personnel of Pakistani army have been killed and several others wounded in the battle of Sohrod against Baloch fighters.
Mr Azad Baloch said that Pakistani forces have been targeting unarmed civilians to conceal their defeat and failure.
He said, ‘Kaheeri Marri and his sons embraced martyrdom defending their honour, sanctity of their house and their family. Baloch nation is proud of such brave sons of Balochistan.’
The BLA spokesperson said the Baloch national liberation struggle will continue until the independence of Baloch land.
