Balochistan: Young lawyer’s dead body discovered
QUETTA: The lawyers in Balochistan have boycotted court proceedings on Tuesday against the murder of a fellow lawyer in Ziarat Cross are of Quetta.
According to details, the dead body of a 30-year-old lawyer, Zamin Khan, was discovered in Ziarat Cross area of Quetta on 6th June.
The dead body of the lawyer had bullets wounds.
However, it is not clear yet whether he was abducted and killed in custody or he has been target killed.
Last month on May 31, a woman lawyer was shot dead at her home in Jacobabad district, Balochistan. The slain solicitor Sanam Umrani, a mother of three children, was a legal counsel for her slain brother Waqar Umrani who had allegedly killed his wife Tahira Khoso in 2015.
Waqar was also shot dead a few months after the killing of his wife. His body was recovered from a car in Balochistan.
According to The Express Tribune, City SHO Ghazanfar Ali Bhutto told the local media that the slain woman was the legal counsel for her brother in the murder case. She was being coerced to withdraw herself from the case, the SHO said.
