Pakistan Military Offensives: Punjabi Army Will Not Succeed in Balochistan
Balochistan: Pakistani forces abducted nine Baloch from Dasht and Mand
QUETTA: Pakistani security forces have raided houses in Dasht Sholeg Jamani Bazar and Mand in district Kech’s headquarter Turbat Balochistan and abducted several people on Monday 18 June.
Local sources reported that Pakistani forces also terrorised and harassed Baloch women and children during their offensives.
At least six Baloch have been abducted and shifted to a nearby military camp. The victims have been named as Dad Mohammad son of Hussain, Arif son of Dad Mohammad, Yaseen son of Dad Mohammad, Abdullah son of Deen Mohammad, Javed son of Mullah Atta and Muslim son of Mohammad Raheem.
The abducted men are residents of Soleg Jamani Bazar and their whereabouts remained unknown until the filing of this report.
Meanwhile, during another similar offensive Pakistani forces have abducted a nephew and two other relatives of a slain Baloch leader Shaheed Ghulam Mohammad Baloch from Mand town in Balochistan.
The victims have been named as Akhtar Baloch son Yousuf Baloch and his two relatives Ghulam Hussain s/o Shugrullah and Fida s/o Shugrullah.
It is pertinent to mention that Yousuf Baloch is the brother of slain pro-freedom leader Shaheed Ghulam Mohammad Baloch who was abducted and killed in custody in 2009 along with his two comrades.
Previously Pakistani forces killed two sons of Yousuf Baloch and now abducted his son Akhbar Baloch.
Even though a number of people from different areas of Balochistan have been released recently after many years of torture and illegal imprisonment at Pakistan army, Military Intelligence and ISI’s secret detention centres but illegal abductions and enforced-disappearance still continue with the same pace.
